Do you need crib baby bedding?

One of the exciting things to do when you are expecting a baby is to decorate the babies room. Crib baby bedding is the first thing you will usually buy and then decorate the room around that. There are many designs to choose from even if you do not find out the sex of your baby before it is born.

Babies sleep most of the day so they need a comfortable bed set. Your baby will sleep up to eighteen hours a day and sleep on their own schedule. A secure fitting bed set is what needs to be in the babies crib.

When your child comes home from the hospital he or she will probably sleep in a cradle or bassinet in your room so you can keep an on the baby. This is a good thing because it will give you more time to make the babies room perfect and find the right bed set that fits the crib.

The mattress chosen for the crib needs to fit in the crib securely with no openings around the edges. If there are openings your infant could fall between the mattress and the crib and that could be bad. A bumper comes with most bedding sets and that is a good thing. A bumper should fit all the way around the crib and have six ties so that it can be tied around the crib and have little movement. You do not want your baby to be able to pull it away from the edges.

Pillows are bad to have in your child’s crib. Pillows look nice but can become a hazard. Many bed sets come without pillows and that is what you want to look at. Your infant should not have a pillow until they are able to sit up and roll over.

Family and friends will want to shower you with advice if you want it or not. It is nice to get advice from experienced people because they know what you are going through. A professional would be the perfect person to talk to since they know just what your babies bed set needs to be and how it should fit the crib.

Fabric is the first thing you should look at when looking at bed sets. Some fabrics such as chenille can be a hazard to your child. Chenille is warm and nice to look at but comes apart very easily and that is not what your crib set set should be made of. Your child will spend many hours in their crib and they need a bed set that will withstand their movement.

There are many baby crib bedding sets to choose from. Having a theme will help you pick the right one and narrow down your options. You will spend about one hundred and fifty dollars on a bed set. It may sound like a lot of money but your child will probably have it for at least two year’s. Name brand sets will cost you a bit more but you may be able to find them cheaper on the internet.
